Textron shows off refreshed interiors for piston class of aircraft

Textron Aviation took great pride in showing off its “interior refresh” enhancements to its iconic Cessna high-wing piston aircraft lineup — the Cessna Skyhawk, Cessna Skylane, Cessna Turbo Skylane and Cessna Turbo Stationair HD. Slated for availability in 2024, Textron’s piston customers will enjoy a range of new high tech standard features and sleek interior design options including modern and comfortable seating, updated instrument panels and new exterior paint styles.

The Cessna Skyhawk, Skylane, Turbo Skylane and Turbo Stationair HD are designed and manufactured by Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. company.

Working with the division’s Customer Advisory Board, many of the enhancements were the direct result of feedback received from its members that included fleet-focused flight schools and individual owners.

Built on a reputation of durability and reliability, this class of aircraft had not had a significant interior update in many years. The result is a more modern, sporty feel that aligns with their family of Cessna Citation jets for a more comfortable flying experience.

Pilots will notice an enhanced level of functionality throughout the aircraft with upgrades to better support today’s pilot required technologies such as new power headset jacks and charging ports at every seat (USB A and C device compatibility). Upgraded seats with detailed stitching provide additional support and padding for pilot and crew.

Christopher Crow, Vice President of Sales, when pushed to share his stand-out upgrade, felt hard-pressed to select one. Instead of calling out a specific feature, he described the interior refresh will provide an upgraded flight experience.

“Our varied Textron Piston customers will immediately notice the upgraded durability and modernized clean lines. The enhanced panel design is a game-changer,” Crow said.

The instrument panel was also re-evaluated for usability and the result includes a sleek black instrument panel with new side panels. Owners will also be able to select from a variety of modern standard paint schemes to truly customize their aircraft.
